Shut Out |Eren x Reader|

It was an early morning when you shot up from your haven with utmost alert in your thoughts, eyes heavy from sleep and your body urged you to go back and lay down. But you couldn’t, no. The day had finally come, judging from the bright colored circle on your calendar, marking the day of 15 on August. You swung your legs over your bed, meeting the cool tiled floor and you then stretched your arms over your head with a tired smile.

Cracking your fingers, you let out a small yawn and walked over the curtain to let the smiling sun shine down on you. Today was the day where you and the others would go to a concert you had been dying to see since your friend, Levi, had formed his rock band. He and his band members were finally going to hold a huge concert in L.A. In a matter of a few months his popularity had boomed, a never seen before kind of style with his unique vocals and his down to earth guitarists and drummer.

The day went on as usual, ate the usual, bathed at the regular time and watched the continuing episode of your favorite show on Netflix and it continued that way until your clock read 5:30. It was a bit early but if you wanted to get at the place in time and wanted to look your best, you must start early.

“(Y/N)!” A sense of excitement and the usual cheerfulness bore your eardrums when you answered, in the mid of applying a single coat of lipgloss, puckering to get the right amount on your lips.

“Yeah, what’s up? You excited Eren?”

“Hell yeah! It been such a long time since we’ve seen that shorty.”

“Hm, something tells me you sure missed him. A lot more than usual,” you teased, hearing the enraged and embarrassed reply from the brunette. That bundle of joy he was, really.

“I’ll pick you up at 6:30. Are you done getting ready, Princess?”

“Haha, very funny Eren,” you said sarcastically. “And to answer your question, I’m close to done. I just have to find an outfit to wear.”

“Well, doll up. I’ll be there in ten.”

“Will do.”

Loud noise, people screaming, the strums of a guitar, and the drums as Levi did his usual greeting. “Thanks for coming!”  He yelled out with so much passion. People waved their hands to the beat of the drums and guitar as the melody picked up.

The drums got a lot more intense, and with one strum of the guitar, Levi started singing in a low husky voice, the crowd getting louder every second. You kept your eyes on Levi the whole time, pure joy on your face as you saw him sing with every single fiber that he possessed in his body. Having a great time, banging his up and down when it was time for the drum and guitar time to shine. The whole stage seem like playground for the band members.

“I can’t see,” you stated, looking up at the brunette who towered over you. “I want to see him,” you bluntly stated to Eren, the song coming to a slower pace, Levi’s angelic voice overwhelming you which touched you at the core. Eren laughed, some sort of mixed emotion in those eyes of his.

“Here.” He kneeled down, touching his shoulder, gesturing for you to climb onto his shoulders.

You took it, thanking him once you climbed on top of him, gripping his hair for some support, giggling like a child when you could see a full view of Levi singing with such ecstasy. His voice rung through your ears and you shouted his name only to be shut out by everyone else.

Eren smiled up at you, laughing with you when he saw the happiness that radiated off you as you watched Levi. Something he couldn’t do himself.

“Hey,” he mutters, which was a bad thing to do considering the place you guys were in.

“I like you,” He said, only to be shut out by the noise and by your excitement.
